The Academic Bridge Strengthens Its International Partnerships Through Its Participation in NAFSA 2025 Conference and Expo.
The Academic Bridge Program, Member of Qatar Foundation participated in the NAFSA Annual Conference and Expo for International Education, held in San Diego, California, USA, from May 27 to May 30, 2025. The program was part of the “Study in Qatar” pavilion, a national initiative under the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, aimed at showcasing the scientific and academic advancements in Qatar’s higher education institutions and enhancing the country’s position as a distinguished academic hub at the international level.
This year, the Academic Bridge Program participated alongside a group of leading higher education institutions in Qatar, including Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar University, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Georgetown University in Qatar, Northwestern University in Qatar, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Doha University for Science and Technology, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, and Qatar Scholarships Program.
The goal of the Academic Bridge Program’s participation in this international event was to strengthen academic cooperation with higher education institutions worldwide, as well as to introduce the academic opportunities offered by the program to students in Qatar, and preparing their transition to prestigious American and British universities.
This participation resulted in the signing of three strategic cooperation agreements with:
- Arizona State University (USA)
- George Mason University (USA)
- INTO University Pathways
These agreements aim to expand university admission opportunities for the program’s students, enhance pathways for students to transition to the global universities, and contribute to the development of academic programs and research.
Dr. Saheim Khalaf Al-Temimi, the Director of Academic Bridge, confirmed that this step is part of a long-term strategy designed to enable students to access the highest-ranking higher education institutions worldwide, while also expanding the program’s international collaboration network in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030..
